Florence by night
When I was in San Marino I took some photographs with my small gorillapod and long shutter speeds. It had been some years since I last had done it, but it was really fun, and I really liked the outcome. So when I got to Florence I just had to take some night photos there as well.
So, first night in Florence I went to Ponte Santa Trinita to take some shots of the famous Ponte Vecchio. I was not alone on the bridge, there were other photographers as well with their tripods and others just hanging out enjoying the view.
On the other side is another bridge called Ponte alla Carraia.
After the bridge I took a walk through the city and passed Piazza del Duomo and Piazza Santa Maria Novella. It had gotten too dark though and the pictures aren’t that great. On my next trip I’m definitely bringing a regular tripod for these kind of pictures.
View over Florence
From Piazza Michelangelo you get a great view over Florence, both day and night. There are so many people here though in the evening trying to get a good picture.
