Manarola and Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre

Manarola and Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre

On my trip to Cinque Terre I was staying in Vernazza. But of course I had to visit the other four cities as well. Corniglia and Monterosso I got to see when I was hiking. The other two I went to in one afternoon (each) and had some ice cream. I didn’t spend much time here but thought I would show you my few pictures from the towns. And yes, the gelato was delicious!

Manarola

Manarola is the second town from the east and is built on top of a hill 70 meters above sea level. Just like the other towns the buildings has the beautiful Ligurian colors. Along the main street lies a lot of boats since the town doesn’t have a real harbour.

Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is the first town in the east and maybe the most popular for photographers. They use the main street as a parking space for small boats just as in Manarola.
