Views from Litlefjellet in Romsdalen, Norway
After our roadtrip around the Hardangerfjord I was own my own, exploring Norway. I wanted to do go hiking, but after a week sleeping in a tent and in the car, (and a lot of driving) I started to get really tired. So I decided to save the longer and more strenuous hikes for another time. Instead I was looking for shorter and easier hikes. The hike to Litlefjellet is one that fits that description. You can drive all the way up to the starting point, but you have to pass through a car toll. It’s located on the same road as the supposedly amazing hike on Romsdalseggen ridge. I’m definitely coming back to do that one.
The parking for Litlefjellet is in Vengedalen, just by the starting point. The trail goes up the mountain and a short way on top of it. It’s only 1.3 km up and down and you gain about 140 m on the hike. It’s quite steep, but over in 30 minutes, unless you stop and look back and down at the view to the parking lot.
Well on top you get the most amazing views! The pointy mountain to the left of you is Mt Romsdalshorn, and in front of you the Troll Wall (Trollveggen).
You can also see the part of the Romsdalsfjord and the town of Åndalsnes.
I mean, look at this!!
If you’re not doing any longer hikes on your trip I can really recommend this one. It’s totally worth the long drive and the toll fee. I would say it’s the perfect place for a lunch break too with this view! This is really a short and quite easy hike for a great nature experience.
Verkligen magiskt och fridfullt! En lunch med en bra bok där ja 🙂
Ja eller hur!
